This assignment arose from the need of the owners of this house - located in a residential district in Madrid’s northern metropolitan area - to create a filter between the street and the front door.
The metal lattice acts as a climatically permeable anteroom, redefining the interior-exterior limits. Its abstract trace contrasts with the domestic symbolism of the metal door, visually maintaining the house access reference.
The intervention also consisted of the new gray granite paving from Madrid’s Sierra, alluding to the house’s location.
